In my work outside of fiction writing, I am driven by social impact and creating opportunities for people to have agency in their lives. My fifteen years of experience as a non-profit leader have centered on creating spaces for young people—particularly students of color and those from historically marginalized backgrounds—to have access to the community and experiences they need to be creative and create economic mobility.

 

I started my career working directly with young people and have since transitioned to stewarding partnerships because I love connecting companies with innovative social and educational programs. I strive to build bridges between communities and leverage my creative writing background to showcase impact with diverse stakeholders.

I currently serve as the Director of Volunteer Recruitment at Braven, a nonprofit organization that supports college students as they transition to strong economic opportunities after graduation.
